We want to say "Thank You" to our sponsors for their belief and generous support of the GHDPS' T.E.A.M. Program (Formerly known as D.A.R.E.). For more information and links to our sponsor's websites, please go to our "sponsor" page.
Welcome to the GHDPS Resistance Run
The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety Resistance Run is a fund raising effort for the GHDPS' T.E.A.M. program (FKA: D.A.R.E.). This event features a very scenic 5K and 10K run course. We also LOVE to see walkers participate. There is something for everyone, including a fun 1 mile kid's run. Shown below are photos of the course and our generous sponsors along with more course and T.E.A.M. information. We hope to see and serve you at this year's event.
Both run courses will start and finish at the Harbor Island. Both courses will run out to the boardwalk and head out Escanaba Park, which is just before you get to the South Pier. Both, 5 - K and 10 - K runners will make a sweeping turn around Escanaba Park and return back toward Harbor Island, again along the scenic boardwalk. Click on the Race Info tab for more information.
KID'S 1 MILE FUN RUN:
A 1 mile "Kid's Fun Run" is included in the 2018 event. This is for boys and girls ages 4 and older. The entry fee per child is only $5 AND includes an event shirt. Parents are welcome to join their children at no additional cost. Parents may register their children online or at the event site (Harbor Island).
This event is a fundraiser for the GHDPS' T.E.A.M. program. For more information on the T.E.A.M. program, please click on the "About Us" tab.
